HR Advisor
Working Pattern: 37 hrs per week - Monday to Friday
Location: Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire
Via is currently looking for a HR Advisor to join our HR Team based at our Head Office in Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire.
You will be a first point of contact on behalf of the HR Team, provide responses on people related issues, maintaining HR systems and processes and supporting the HR Business Partner in delivery of a generalist HR Service.
The Job
Key areas of responsibility will include: -
- Provide operational HR support, responding to general HR queries both internally and externally to deliver timely, accurate responses on behalf of the HR Team.
- Advise, coach and support line managers on general HR issues, including policies and procedures
- Support the HRBP’s with ER casework, including grievance and disciplinary hearings
- Liaise with the HR Services Advisor ensuring the accurate processing of Payroll and Pensions data
- Coach, develop and support a HR Apprentice/ Coordinator to deliver expert people advice to line managers.
- Ensure the provision of a timely customer focused HR administration function maintaining accurate data.
- Liaise with the HR Services Advisor to identify and implement improvements in HR processes and procedures
- Support the delivery of HR initiatives across the organisation, ensuring a co-ordinated, consistent approach is adopted.
The Person
Mainly you will be excited to be a vital part of our HR Team, but there are just a few other things we’d like from you: -
- Practical experience in a generalist HR environment.
- Experience of providing advice and guidance to line managers on wide range of HR issues.
- Proven ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organisation, in all formats.
- Strong ICT skills with experience of using applications including Microsoft Word and Excel, email and the internet
- Proven ability to plan and prioritise work and remain calm under pressure, or when challenged.
- Proven ability to constructively challenge key stakeholders.
- Basic knowledge of employment law and how to interpret it when advising line managers
