Finance Operations Support
6 Months
Telford (Hybrid position - Initially a few days per week on site until they're up to speed and then reduce to once/twice weekly as required)
BPSS check to be carried out at vetting stage
An overview of the role - You will be a key partner on our flagship ?IT Services? account, working to support the Financial Operations Controller within our Finance Operations Team. You will be working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial reports are produced accurately & timely and provide support in systems and governance processes.
As Finance Operations Support, you will need strong organisational & prioritisation skills together with the ability to communicate across business functions to a wide range of stakeholders, both financial and non-financial.
Why this role? - In this role, you will be working to support the finance & wider business operations to run effectively & efficiently, whilst being on the lookout for process improvement. As part of this role, you will:
Support the monthly reporting cycles, including daily reconciliation of the P&L to centrally held reports and creation and issue of monthly exception and forecast reports.
Reconcile and receipt third party charges, working with wider teams such as PMO, Ecosystem and suppliers to investigate and resolve discrepancies while ensuring payment terms are met.
Support the client invoicing process, raising invoices and ensuring payment terms are being met.
Produce weekly timesheet reports and communicate discrepancies to wider teams, working to resolve issues promptly.
Provide balance sheet management including balance sheet reconciliations and support audit reviews.
Create and set up critical business management artefacts within agreed SLA?s, including finance system access requests & project code requests.
Support the Intercompany billing process, actioning requests and resolving issues between business units.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders and demonstrate effective communication.
Continually identify measures to improve processes and maximise the accuracy of data published.
Produce ad hoc reports and analysis to support the business to enable decision-making.
Support the Finance Operations Controller on ad-hoc tasks as required and providing cover for team tasks where necessary.
