Job Summary
To provide client focused HR support to the HR Manager and business partner groups as detailed below.
Main duties and responsibilities
- To act as a role model within the team and as an ambassador for the department, proactively developing effective working relationships across the firm.
- To assist with ad hoc requests for information from all members of the firm relating to HR issues e.g. policies and procedures, terms and conditions of employment etc.
- Providing support on all aspects of absence management including monitoring sickness absence rates and return to work guidance, occupational health referrals and follow ups.
- Producing relevant sickness reports and analysis accordingly.
- Assist HR Managers with any disciplinary, grievance or performance related issues.
- Support the HR Managers with the administration of family leave (maternity, paternity, shared parental and adoption leave) and flexible working requests.
- Assist HR Managers with preparation of salary review data, analysis and letter production and the firm’s annual development review cycle for business services and fee earning staff.
- Type up and circulate exit interviews where appropriate and prepare quarterly analysis of feedback for HR Managers.
- Conduct inductions of new staff where appropriate.
- Manage probation processes of mid-probation and end of probation for all new joiners in business partner groups.
- Responsible for benefit processing for business partner groups e.g. BUPA scheme joiners and leavers with Broadstone, wellbeing subsidy, cycle to work scheme etc.
- Managing the ADP portal to ensure the monthly payroll submission is accurate and timely.
- Bi-weekly monitoring of the Human Resources inbox and deal with, or refer queries as appropriate.
- Prepare and distribute weekly summary from HR team meetings.
- To be Cascade expert for the department managing the system to input and compile data and to ensure the integrity of all HR Data; analyse the output of regular and ad hoc management information reports including but not limited to sickness, turnover, retention etc; attend Cascade user group sessions.
- Provide support to the team on all projects and initiatives.
- Any other duties reasonably requested by the Head of HR.

Skills
- CIPD qualified with 3+ years’ experience.
- Proficient in use of MS Office (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Previous experience of HR Systems beneficial, desirable experience of Cascade.
- Previous experience of payroll would be desirable, but training will be given.
- Excellent administration, organisational and prioritisation skills with ability to manage time efficiently.
- Good attention to detail. Accurate and thorough.
