We pride ourselves in delivering a high-quality HR Advisory and consultancy service to over 700 Hampshire and Oxfordshire schools.
You'll provide guidance and support to headteachers, senior leaders and governors directly through the management of individual employee relations casework and primarily through our Helpdesk Service. You'll contribute to the practical resolution of matters ensuring that employment decisions have regard to the needs of the school and take account of legislative requirements, relevant procedures, and good employment practice.
You'll be studying towards, or have a Certificate in Personnel Practice or relevant experience to be able to provide high quality and timely advice on specialist or generalist HR issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will ensure you have the confidence to advise and with support you'll be able to identify a range of risk-based options and provide sound HR advice to our schools.
Excellent IT skills and time management are essential for accurately recording customer interactions on our databases and monitoring customer feedback.
As part of the role, you'll be required to support our helpdesk service three days per week, with the remaining part of the week managing your own casework.
The position will be based in Winchester, supporting schools across Hampshire schools. Our new ways of working across the County Council provides colleagues with the flexibility of working from both the office and home, with the expectation of working in the office once a week supporting the Helpdesk Service.
There's a requirement to travel for both positions and you'll be expected to visit our schools in person as required. To ensure you have the appropriate equipment to carry out your role, as an organisation we've ensured our team have remained highly connected to our schools and we'll ensure you are set up with essential IT and office equipment at home.
