Human Resources Adviser
Edenred Payment Solutions are currently recruiting for an HR Adviser to support a headcount of 400+ employees in a fast-paced, dynamic, innovative payment services company.
We are a Mastercard Principal Member, and an FCA Electronic Money Institution, offering a range of cutting-edge services including Payment Processing, UK and SEPA banking solutions, BIN sponsorship, and eWallet provisions. We work with various clients across Challenger Banking (Monese, Tide, Anytime, and more), Corporate Benefits (Fuel cards, restaurant tickets), and Retail and Travel services (Sainsbury’s, TUI, Argos).
The HR Adviser actively supports the delivery of the People strategy by providing an effective and professional HR service covering the full generalist remit, including:
- Insights, Strategy and Solutions
- Organisation Design & Development
- Resource & Talent Planning
- Performance & Reward
- Employee Relations
- Service, Delivery, and Information
What you will be doing:
- Provide generalist HR advice and support on terms and conditions of employment and HR policies and procedures, with a view to resolving matters on advice
- Maintain team systems and processes such as recruitment, fixed term contracts, redundancy, redeployment register and case management, liaising with departments to ensure that paperwork is completed and returned, and provide advice on those processes as required
- Arrange and attend informal/formal meetings and hearings with the HR Partners, ensuring that all paperwork is accurate. Take notes at meetings as required
- Provide advice and guidance on occupational health referrals, absence management issues and return to work cases to managers
- Provide HR and admin support to internal and external investigating officers in the management of casework, specifically investigations into conduct, capability, and grievance matters
- In liaison with the HR colleagues, provide advice and guidance on job design, recruitment, on-boarding, restructuring and redeployment processes, advising on best practice, university procedures and appropriate legislation
- Support effective communication across the business, building positive engagement towards key HR initiatives
- Challenge existing HR ways of working to ensure maximum efficiency across all day-to-day activities
- Provide guidance and support on the use of HR systems operating across the Edenred and PPS in the UK, maximising use and benefit of the HR toolkit
- Continuously increase understanding of the wider world of HR, sharing external perspectives and best practice with the business and HR colleagues
- Proactively engage with Edenred Group People projects, seeking responsibility and demonstrating passion to drive key projects and initiatives
- Contribute to the review and development of HR policies in line with UK employment law and best practice
What we want from you:
- Experience of working in a generalist HR role with an excellent track record for building strong professional relationships and credibility across all levels of the organisation
- Experience of applying employment legislation and best practice HR across day-to-day people activities
- Experience of resolving a range of challenging HR queries
- Case management experience
- Experience of successfully supporting HR projects and initiatives that align with a wider HR strategy
- Experience of delivering to the highest customer care standards within a demanding environment
- Experience of working to tight deadlines, prioritising, and managing time effectively
- Ability to present and communicate information in a succinct and engaging way across all levels of the organisation
- Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills
- A great team-player who enjoys working with others to achieve exceptional team results
- Someone with excellent written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Someone who loves setting targets and hitting them
- Never settling for status quo instead striving to continually improve
- Knowledge of HRIS – Workday preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent practical knowledge and skills in using a range of packages, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Someone with a proactive approach to problem solving, focused on providing solutions that support the HR service and wider organisation
- Be prepared for a hands-on approach to all aspects of HR
