Description
We are looking for an experienced HR Administrator to join our People Services team.
You will be responsible for providing effective, efficient and customer focused HR Payroll activities which meets the changing needs of the Hospital, managers, and employees. This includes all transactional services affecting employees pay and liaison with our outsourced payroll provider to ensure that complex pay issues are dealt with quickly and that the service is in line with the service level agreement.
You will work in conjunction with the HR Adviser, Recruitment and the Payroll Provider to ensure new entrants to the organisation and monthly changes are implemented promptly, accurately and to ensure employees are paid in keeping with the Hospital’s policies.
An important part of the role will be to assist the Workforce Information Analyst to provide systems administration and support across all aspects of HR. This will require accurately maintaining HR and Training systems, producing key monthly reports and statistics and conducting ad hoc data analysis. This will also require the post holder to support HR systems effectively and efficiently to ensure the integrity of data in the HRIS is maintained by managing the input and running routine queries and quality controls.

Am I the right person for this role?
- Be able to demonstrate experience in working in a busy HR environment
- Experience of working in a payroll administrative role and dealing with complex pay issues is desirable
- Experience of working within healthcare is desirable
- Knowledge of HR systems, e.g., Resource Link, Empower
- Experience of managing, implementing, or developing HR Systems
- Highly literate in excel, able to run complex formula
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency with quantitative statistics and presentation in a user-friendly way
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and standard keyboard skills
- Excellent at building relationships with all stakeholders
- Professionalism and resilience
- A good eye for detail and data quality
What are the Responsibilities of the HR Administrator role?
- Responsible for the day-to-day HR Payroll activities working within agreed policies and procedures relevant to contractual processes
- Responsible for the delivery of a high-quality HR Payroll service
- Working with the Recruitment Team, have a proactive and timely approach for adding new joiners on to the HR and Payroll system ensuring the monthly and weekly payroll for new joiners and other changes associated with individual employees are processed accurately at all times and on a timely basis
- Ensure that all pay affecting information is sent to the payroll provider within agreed monthly deadlines
- Ensure Personnel and Payroll data is maintained to ensure employees are paid correctly, updating financial codes as instructed by the Workforce Information Analyst
- Assist with coordinating and planning activities such as working towards payroll deadlines, maintaining systems and respond to queries with the help desk.
- Support users with accessing and good practice use of workforce systems, providing advice and guidance over the telephone, or online
- To run staff data and payroll report as and when required
- Super-user for both HR and Training System as the first point of contact for system queries from within HR and the wider organisation
- Coaching managers and employees to ensure better understanding of the system and to resolve issues and build users confidence
- Support the WIA to provide training on HR Systems, as appropriate
- Responsible for the accuracy of all HR & Training Systems data including the Training App, Training Calendar, Essential Training Spreadsheet etc
- Conduct regular audits to check and improve data accuracy
