Calex is a specialist training and consultancy organisation contracted to several market-leading automotive manufacturers. We have seen tremendous growth in our business in recent years and with that comes the opportunity to increase our workforce, so we are seeking to recruit an experienced HR Administrator.
This new role will report into the Head of HR and will help support the current implementation/operation of a new integrated HR, WebExpenses, Payroll and Recruitment system, as well as supporting in other areas of HR in-line with the growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities
· To take full responsibility as the System Administrator for the company’s HR system (CIPHR)
· Work with stakeholders to build a talent management programme integrated within the new CIPHR system
· Champion, making sure all Departmental Managers and users are fully up to speed on how the system works and utilisation of the system is maximised
· Administration of core HR tasks including, but not limited to: new employee creation, updating records, handling leaver information, HR reporting, maintaining the new CIPHR system and ensuring all the correct new starter paperwork and employee paperwork is returned and documented
· Assist with areas of recruitment including creating adverts, vetting applications, interviews, references, safeguarding checks and communicating with candidates and internal stakeholders
· Support the HR Manager in developing new policies, business processes and procedures
· Ordering, issuing, and maintaining a log of all company equipment for new staff
· Assisting with any other ad hoc HR tasks
About you
· Have previous experience of working within a HR department, and in particular HR systems (ideally CIPHR)
· Have an appreciation of HR legislation including GDPR and employment embedded passion
· Familiar with HR best practice including safeguarding, onboarding, induction, and EDI
· Understand the employee journey and how HR best supports this
· Have the ability to manage your own time
· Maintain credibility by keeping up to date with new processes, best practice and legislation
· Ability to adapt to changing demands and experience of working in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work independently as well as to contribute effectively to the team
· Proactive approach to your work and want to make a difference whilst providing a great employee experience

Salary & Benefits - circa £35,000. dependent on experience. 25 Days Paid Annual Leave (pro rata). Calex Employee Benefits Package (inc. High Street Discounts, Online GP, Welfare Scheme).
Finding the right person with the right skill is important to us and whilst ideally this is a full time role, individuals who have CIPHR or similar HR system implementation experience would be considered on a reduced working week.
Pre-employment Checks - Calex will undertake the relevant/standard employment checks with any successful candidate. This includes contacting all nominated references, as well as checking candidate ID, driving licence (if appropriate) and right to work in the UK. Some roles may also be subject to further pre-employment checks (confirmation will be provided through the recruitment process). This nature if this role may necessitate that we undertake a DBS check.
Employment - The successful candidate will be employed by Calex UK (www.calexuk.com). Calex are a specialist automotive training provider and provide training staff and expertise including Trainers, Developers, Digital Learning Experts, and Administrators.
Place of Work – you will be required to work from one Calex’s offices in Abingdon (Oxfordshire) or Slough (Berkshire), so ideally you need to be situated between the two.
