Job description
Come and make a difference at Karbon as a Housing Assistant.
We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual for the role of Housing Assistant in the General Housing Team. You will be working within the General Housing Team to support the development and delivery of effective and high quality housing services to our customers.
About the role
You will provide an efficient administrative service which will include the maintenance of records on behalf of the team, mail merges, and process payment of invoices and manage general queries relating to invoices. You will be required to deal with general customer enquiries, the allocation, sign up and monitoring of garage sites and enquiries relating to our furniture service. You will also support colleagues with home visits, scheme or estate inspections, anti-social behaviour cases and take part in community events
About you
You should have excellent communication skills and the ability to plan and prioritise your own workload often working to targets and tight deadlines. You will be part of a team but the role does require the ability to work on your own initiative and carry out lone working in the community and in tenant’s homes. Previous knowledge and experience within a social housing environment, housing legislation and knowledge of welfare reform changes would be an advantage.
