Job description

We are looking for a Housekeeper willing to ‘go the extra mile’ to ensure compassionate and excellent patient focused care is always delivered.

This is a 23 hours per week contract with a specific working pattern including weekends.

Duties will include assisting with meal provision; ensuring patients receive the correct diet, assisting patients with nutrition and hydration, maintaining the kitchen area, liaising with the catering department regarding changes to patient menus, stocking up the kitchen and clinical areas. You will also ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the patients’ bedside.

You will work closely with the ward team, ensuring all clinical equipment is up to date, clean and in stock. You will assist with the general tidiness of the ward and the equipment, ordering stock and maintaining supplies.

You demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of the team but also under non-direct supervision. It is necessary to have a flexible approach within this role and be able to respond appropriately to the demands of an ever changing workload.
