You will be responsible for developing a pipeline of new business opportunities, managing the tender process, and converting into new contracts to achieve your sales target for the year.
Main duties:
- Proactively building and maintaining client relationships, anticipating their needs.
- Ensuring that we retain all our existing contracts
- Proactively network and research all invitations to tender and respond accordingly in a timely manner
- Leading the sales process from creating first appointments to closing the sale
- Supporting on the retention of key contracts when required, assisting operators in process, bid submission and presentations, coordinating with relevant support functions
- Managing your own activity on a weekly basis to ensure you develop a pipeline of business opportunities to support the achievement of your sales target for the year
- Using your strong commercial acumen and understanding of financial models to build and present a successful tender submission to proposed clients
- Submitting weekly reports to our Director of Sales and Marketing/ Associate Director of Sales & Marketing from managing company, to demonstrate your activities and pipeline with time frames for all confirmed business tenders coming online to ensure we are on track to achieve our financial goals for the year
REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience with corporate and MICE accounts
- Proficient in Power Point or Keynote, and hotel programs, i.e., Opera
- Previous experience working in a similar setting.
- Intermediate knowledge of hospitality booking
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Leads by example with a collaborative and professional work ethic
- Proficient knowledge of computers, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Demonstrates effective leadership and management
- Accomplished problem solver with superior analytical skills
- Exceptional motivational, inspirational, and communication abilities
- Excellent writing, organizational and computer skills
- Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance
- Excellent customer service skills
- Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.
