As a Housekeeper with Once Upon A Stay, you will have the opportunity to create lasting memories for every Guest, ensuring our vacation rentals are comfortable, inviting, and clean.
Reporting to the Operations Manager - Southampton, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offer welcoming, friendly and warm service to Guests and Colleagues.
- Provide intuitive service, engaging with Guests and anticipating their needs.
- Communicate any specific Guest requests or concerns with the Operations Manager.
- Take ownership of Guests’ privacy and belongings, while ensuring exceptional service.
- Return and properly tag all lost and found articles in the Housekeeping Office.
- Clean and sanitize all assigned properties including: dusting, making beds, soiled linen/garbage removal from properties, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning and disinfecting, cleaning furniture, inside window cleaning and replenishing rooms with supplies.
- Participate in deep cleaning of properties as required.
- Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Consistently update and record all cleaned properties.
- Follow detailed cleaning standards in both stayover and vacant properties as set through our brand standards.
- Follow all safety & sanitation policies and work safely to prevent injury.
- Foster positive cross departmental relationships to create a seamless experience.
- Report any maintenance needs required at properties.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays and shift work as scheduled.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Your experience and skills include:
- Warm and caring personality; previous housekeeping experience is an asset.
- Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming.
- Excellent communication, organizational skills and time management.
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
- Highly responsible and reliable.
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow Colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
Physical aspects of the position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
