Payrate: £10.37 per hour plus enhanced pay for weekends and bank holidays

About the Trust
Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust is the main provider of mental health and learning disability services in Herefordshire and Worcestershire, and also provide community nursing and therapy services in Worcestershire.
They provide services for people of all ages, across a range of settings, experiencing both physical and/or mental health conditions across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
They are the main providers of mental health and learning disability services in both counties, and also deliver community hospitals, neighbourhood teams and community nursing services across Worcestershire.

This is a Temporary role.
Responsibilities will include:
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in line with agreed procedures which aim to reduce the risk of acquired infections.
- Abide by the strict ‘National Colour Coding System’ for cleaning within a healthcare environment.
- To co-operate when new methods of working are introduced with the aim of improving work schedules and frequencies.
- Replenish all hand towels, toilet rolls, soaps etc as and when required.
- To operate all mechanical equipment i.e., floor cleaning machines, steam cleaners and vacuum systems in line with safe operating instructions and report any defects to the housekeeping supervisors.
- Contribute to the maintenance of the fabric of the buildings by reporting defects and faults to ensure a safe working environment.
- To be responsible for providing a patient beverage service throughout the day, and to assist nursing staff with patient meal services at lunch and supper as necessary.
Skills required:
- Cleaning experience
- Knowledge of COSHH
- Knowledge of colour coding system
- Both written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures
