An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic band 2 housekeeper to join our expanding Liverpool Sleep and Ventilation Service. We welcome applicants from colleagues who have a particular interest in stock control and processes. Good use of databases and IT skills are essential.
Please note this post is 37.5 hours per week, 08:30-16:30, over a 5-day period. The service does not open at weekends or bank holidays although on a rare occasion there may be a requirement to perform stocktake of equipment on a Saturday.
The Sleep laboratory housekeeper role is primarily administrative based in the sleep service with the following duties;
- Monitoring stock levels in department and advising of any low stock and procurement needs (CPAP, NIV equipment, administrative stock).
- Facilitating patient requests for masks and consumables to maintain treatment. This is done by monitoring the sleep lab email account and responding to patients requests by posting out consumables via recorded delivery.
- Assisting the receptionist with any patients requiring collection of equipment.
- liaising with other practitioners in the service with any requests that require escalating.
- Documentation of all actions performed with Sleep health database and hospital administrative systems.
- Audit of consumables supplied posted out to patients.

The postholder will work as an integral part of the sleep lab. He/she will be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities services in the sleep lab and ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
The main elements of the role are ensuring the delivery of cleaning, catering, and minor maintenance, together with other specified tasks to meet individual patient needs as determined by the sleep lab manager.
The postholder will be required to work closely with contractors and support service departments. He/she will monitor quality standards, report deficiencies and take appropriate action.
