Job description

Job Posting – Staff Accountant

Hamilton Enterprises, LLC, a CPA, Management and IT consulting firm, is seeking qualified and available Staff Accountant to support a Federal client in Washington, DC. The position is full-time and long-term.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to conduct comprehensive research and analysis of technical and general ledger accounting and preparations of federal financial statements and notes.
  • Ability to read, interpret and develop financial management regulatory and/or accounting guidance and procedural documents.

Mandatory qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred
  • Has 2-5 years of experience in accounting, interpreting and analyzing data and developing business requirements for a financial accounting team or similar in a CFO level organization or similar financial / budgeting environment.

Additional knowledge and skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook and Power Point.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive research and analysis
  • Organizes with the ability to prioritize work and exercise independence judgment, wisdom and initiative.
  • Gathers facts and develops clear analyzes and arrives at sound conclusions
  • Conducts organizational and procedural studies and prepares comprehensive products / or reports.
  • Properly interprets and makes recommendations in accordance with laws, regulations, policies or other appropriate legal requirements.
  • Analyses data from multiple sources.
