ORGANISATION OVERVIEW
Flourish Enterprises is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company based in Woodfield Park, Doncaster.
We operate St Catherine’s House as an events and conference centre and visitor destination. We also provide the Flourish café, Woodlands Café (Rotherham) and the Walled Garden, and a Garden Centre.
Alongside these businesses Flourish Enterprises provide the Vocational Pathway Programme which supports individuals back into the workplace through volunteering or education by providing key skills and experiences.
Flourish Enterprises also operates Woodfield24, a domiciliary community-based care service delivering end of life care throughout the Doncaster borough.
As a not-for-profit organisation we ensure that every penny of surplus generated from our services is reinvested back into community led activity. We are fully owned by the RDaSH NHS Trust and together we share the same site at Woodfield Park.
ROLE SUMMARY
The post holder will work as part of the Flourish team in the provision and delivery of reception and administrative duties at St Catherine’s House. The role will include a variety of tasks including answering the telephone, meeting and greeting, co-ordinating room bookings, cash handling, setting up rooms for conferences/events, handling mail, invoicing, liaising with tenants and dealing with general enquiries.
This role is key to furthering our strategic aims and objectives as a force for wider social benefit and towards further developing Woodfield Park into a destination Wellbeing Hub.
As our new House Receptionist & Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for many of our visitors and service users. Your skills, knowledge and experience and personality will all support our aims to create a positive first and lasting impression.
The postholder will enjoy a degree of autonomy and creativity to organise their daily duties and contribute towards the ongoing success of Flourish.
You will be an active and committed member of the Flourish team and demonstrate care and pride in everything you do.
DUTIES
Role Specific
- General administration duties including email correspondence, photocopying, handling mail, cash handling, taking phone calls and handling queries, meeting and greeting our visitors;
- Review and maintain the booking system and diary for conferencing and room hire;
- Support the team with set up and co-ordination of conferences and events;
- Coordinating the day-to-day activities of the tenancy business including liaising with our existing tenants, keeping contracts up to date, meeting new potential tenants and handling viewings, under the direction and guidance of the Operations Manager;
- Placing orders for stock and equipment;
- Ensuring all sales invoices across all Flourish departments are produced in a timely manner, and suppliers are paid within the terms required;
- Support our annual events by helping with promotion, taking bookings and ensuring all required paperwork is received;
- To assist with recruitment including inviting candidates to interview:
- Support service users and volunteers in their own development by providing practical and work-related training;
- Any other duties that are relevant to the role.

- To implement, operate and maintain safe systems of work in accordance with Flourish policies, procedures and guidance, training and associated risk assessments;
- To report to a manager any situations or issues of concern relating to significant foreseeable risks, incidents (including near misses) and/or accidents in relation to safety in the workplace.
General
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders on the site;
- To plan and prioritise own workload ensuring that all work is undertaken within the timeframe instructed;
- To contribute to reports and publications as directed by the senior leadership team;
- To maintain confidentiality at all times;
- To manage time-based projects as and when required;
- Maintain a clean and tidy appearance and wear protective clothing provided in accordance with departmental standards where applicable;

- To have and participate fully in an annual performance and development review;

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
In order to be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with the following skills, knowledge and qualities:
- Experience of working in a clerical or administrative setting;
- Experience of working in an events, conferencing and/or non-profit environment would be desirable but not essential;
- Knowledge of health and safety compliance in the workplace required, as well as how to manage risk to yourself, the team, volunteers, service users, visitors and contractors;
- Good communications skills and ability to deliver excellent customer service;
- Working and sharing knowledge with our Service Users and volunteers on a day-to-day basis;
- Commitment for what you are doing, take pride in your work and show willingness and enthusiasm to share our story;
- Punctuality, reliability and flexibility;
- A commitment to represent Flourish and the wider Woodfield Park site as a positive ambassador to ensure the work we do is recognised and is shown at its best at all times.
