Hotel Receptionist (Weekend) (Part time)
Castle Ashby, Northamptonshire
16 hours per week
£7,904 per annum + tronc share (details below)
What We Need
Due to a team expansion, we are looking for an efficient and welcoming weekend Receptionist to join our team to ensure the smooth running of the lobby, taking responsibility for reservations and general enquiries, ensuring a positive first impression of The Falcon both in person and on the telephone.
This position will cover Saturday and Sunday each week, on the early (6:30am - 3pm) or late (2:30pm - 11pm) shift on a rotational basis.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing guest bookings using the hotel reservations system
- Ensuring guests receive a smooth check-in and check-out process
- Maintaining good product knowledge, including room rates, packages and promotions
- Converting room and food and beverage enquiries into bookings
- Liaising with the Wellness and Food and Beverage teams to ensure bookings are handled efficiently
- Ensuring room billing is accurate and all revenue is collected
- Dealing with reception related queries and complaints efficiently
- Creating ‘moments of magic’ to enhance the guest experience and encourage repeat custom
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience of working in a 4 or 5 star hotel environment
- Competent using the MS Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Due to our beautiful rural location, your own transport would be useful
