Job description
Hotel Receptionist Part-time (temporary contract) for a busy, family-run traditional hotel and restaurant in Lutterworth, South Leicestershire.
You must be able to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends, on a shift basis. Reception opening times are 6am to 8pm.
This is a part-time temporary contract for 6 months to cover maternity leave. Immediate start.
Your main duties will include:
- Answering the telephone
- Processing online hotel reservations
- Taking hotel reservations and restaurant bookings over the phone and email
- Taking and handling payments
- Guest check-ins and check-outs
- General hotel administration and customer service
- Keeping the reception area clean and tidy
You will require good spoken and written English and a flexible and positive attitude to work. Although full training will be provided, it would be helpful to have experience using Outlook email and Microsoft programmes including Word and Excel.
Experience working in a similar role or a customer service environment would be an advantage. From time to time you may be required to help in the bar and the restaurant.
