We are currently recruiting for a Hotel Porter at Rhinefield House Hotel.
Rhinefield House Hotel is a 4 AA red star Hotel with 50 bedrooms and 3 Suites, a 2 AA rosette restaurant, Spa facilities and an outdoor pool.
About the role:
Do you want to work as part of a dedicated and professional Hotel Reception team?
This is a full time role that offers a mixture of hours and flexibility and includes a range of 8 hour day shifts covering the hours between 8.00 - 8.30pm and covering night shifts from 11.00pm – 7.00am, as and when required to accommodate holiday cover. This is on a rota basis and will include weekends. Due to these hours applicants must be 18 or over.
Rate of pay: Day shifts £13.50 per hour & night shifts £14.50 per hour.
You will be able to give a fantastic welcome to any early or late arrivals getting to know what someone needs before they even know it themselves, leaving them impressed, reassured, and most importantly, feeling at home. It doesn’t matter if they’re first time visitors or returning guests, you’ll charm them from the initial welcome to the “Good Night or Have a safe journey” with your impeccable standards of service.
As a Porter you will work alongside the reception team to welcome our Hotel guests, carrying their luggage and showing them to their rooms.
Our porters are also expert all-rounders helping to fulfil many different roles whilst they are on shift, such as assisting on the bar, cleaning, setting up conference rooms and delivering room service food orders.
About you:
- You’ll enjoy working a mixture of shifts, being flexible in your approach to different times of working
- You will live locally to the hotel and have transport as public transport is very limited
- You’ll be someone who remains calm under pressure and is able to take any challenges in your stride
- You’ll enjoy making guests feel welcome and at home, and will develop a thorough knowledge of our of hotel products and services
- You’ll ideally have previous experience working in hotels or in a Night Porter / Day Porter role, but this is not essential
- You’ll be excellent at building a rapport with new and returning guests
- You’ll take pride in your appearance, as the face of Hand Picked Hotels
- Most of all, you’ll have a friendly, welcoming and genuine manner
