We are currently seeking dedicated and ambitious Hotel Operations Apprentices.

The on target earning potential for this role is £25,301 / annual salary based on a 39 hour contract - comprising a base salary of £21,801, plus a qualified estimate of £3,500 in gratuities and service charge.* As a member of the Gleneagles team, you will also enjoy a fantastic range of perks, benefits and rewards.

Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:
The Hotel Operations Apprenticeship is a unique and immersive 2-year, hands-on programme that leads to a Hospitality Level 5 qualification accredited by the Scottish Qualifications Authority and a permanent position on successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Fully immersed in operations from day one, you’ll be learning on the job, building your talents, and developing your experience. Under the caring mentorship of a dedicated Development Partner, you’ll be fully supported throughout the programme and provided with unlimited opportunity for fun, adventures and making happy memories and life-long friendships as you go!
With automatic enrollment into our Gleneagles Academy, you’ll also have access to some of the best learning and development opportunities in the field of luxury hospitality. From supplier visits and master-classes to training workshops and sponsorship opportunities with key industry brands and organisations, your development journey in our Glorious Playground will be unrivaled.
You will graduate from your Hotel Operations Apprenticeship with the skills and experience to forge a successful career and the confidence to make your mark in the world of luxury hotels.

During your apprenticeship you will;

Create a unique and personalised portfolio of work-based learning leading towards a qualification Hospitality Level 5, progressing to a level 6 qualification in Customer Service if desired
You will experience 8 x 3 month rotations around all operational areas of our hotel where you will Learn everything there is to know about developing a career in Luxury hotels:
Welcome our guests and learn the craft of luxury guest relations as part of our Front of House team
Deliver a Fine Dining experience that’s second to none in our renowned Strathearn Restaurant
Help make celebrated moment ever more special and memorable as part of our Private Dining team
Learn how to create a laid-back experience in our Casual Dining restaurants
Become a cocktail connoisseur as a member of our Bars & Lounge team
Make our guests’ stay extra warm and comfortable as part of our housekeeping team
Experience the passion and camaraderie of the kitchen as you join our Culinary team
Provide relaxing and nurturing experiences that elevate our guests’ wellbeing as part of our Leisure team
Complete a structured training programme designed specifically to help you excel as you move through your rotations

Intakes - August 2023

Selection:
Stage 1 - Telephone interviews will take place from week commencing Monday 24th April 2023
Stage 2 - Selection Days will take place on Thursday 18th May and Friday 2nd June 2023
Start Date - Our next cohort of Apprentices will join our business in August 2023

  • About gratuities & service charge:
Gratuities (tips) and service charge (an additional charge added to our room rates and services across the estate that is passed directly to our employees) are paid on a pro-rata basis regardless of your role
It is estimated that in 2023, our full-time employees can expect to receive around £3,500 in addition to their annual salary
