As a Hotel Manager, you will lead the Team to deliver the ambition of being the Number One for all hotel-based leisure in Torquay in a safe, sustainable and profitable environment.

The Hotel Manager is responsible for leading our team to manage the 174 bedroom hotel and overseeing the central Entertainments venue, food outlets and retail facilities. The resort benefits from great support structures in place, which include an onsite HR department, Finance department and Sales & Marketing teams. You will be reporting directly to and supported by the Chief Operating Officer, who is based at the resort.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support, lead and manage the teams across the Hotel and the central entertainments and food outlet.
  • Empowering and developing our team members to be the best and deliver the best, making the most of your resources and growing talent
  • Work alongside our other Hotel Managers and HR to ensure resourcing, recruitment and training is approached in a positive way
  • Drive commercial best practice, maximising on growth opportunities, exercising financial and revenue management
  • Oversee all business areas with an eye for detail. Ensure brand standards are consistently delivered while utilising guest feedback to increase performance against KPI’s
  • Embrace accountability for delivering the TLH business plan, supporting and enabling the bigger picture
  • Demonstrate full knowledge of Health and Safety compliance, and manage all audit processes to a high standard
  • Be agile in your thinking and effectively manage your time to meet business needs
  • Champion change and continuous improvement and implement this with the team with strong leadership and a positive vision

Hours and rate of pay:

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum. 40 hours over 5 days, covering late working on occasion.
