Job description

We are looking for a Baby Room Leader and Pre-school Room Leader with proven experience in the early years sector and who would be keen to take up a new a challenge in a multilingual, inclusive and stimulating environment.

Our Client's nursery is looking for a passionate nursery professional to join the Baby Room team, with experience in working with babies (3 to 24 months old) in other nursery settings.

Salary: £26,000 - £29,000 PA

Location: Hammersmith, London

Number of hours: 40 per week

Key roles and responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have to perform the following key duties:

  • Be a ‘key person’ to a small group of babies (from 3 to 24 months old) and build positive relationships with their families
  • Monitor babies’ progress to ensure they reach their developmental targets
  • Plan and create activities which keep babies engaged throughout the day
  • Enable babies to become more independent
  • Help prepare babies for the transition into ther Toddler Room (24 to 36 months)
  • Protect and promote the health and well-being of all children
  • Ensure that safeguarding procedures are followed
  • Promote positive relationships in the early years setting
  • Develop good relationship with parents and ability to report on their growth and progress

Key requirements:

  • Childcare qualification at Level 3 or above (such as Early Years Educator, NVQ Level 3 in CCLD, Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People’s Workforce), or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 2 year’ experience of working in a Baby Room of a nursery/early years setting
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS
  • Be flexible and patient
  • Be able to communicate effectively within a team
