Home Instead Mid Cornwall cover Bodmin and surrounding villages. We are looking for people to join our Care Professional team helping older people in their own homes. Homecare Assistant Benefits:

  • Great rates of pay - from £12.40 per hour, plus 1.5 times enhanced bank holiday rates
  • Minimum 1 hour calls – giving you the time to care. We have 15 minute gaps (or more if needed) between visits so there is no rushing.

Responsibilities:

Being a Homecare Assistant is an essential role supporting older people to live well at home. With the support of our team and industry leading training, you can feel fully equipped to deliver the high-quality care Home Instead has become known for.

Here’s what you could be doing:

  • Companionship - ensuring a client enjoys regular and meaningful social interaction is an important part of your visit
  • Help with everyday tasks such as; meal preparation and light housework
  • Accompanying to appointments or shopping
  • Personal care - supporting our clients with the essentials such as bathing, showering, dressing and grooming to keep them healthy and independent
  • Support with Medications and Topical Creams or Drops.
