Job Purpose
Working closely with the Head of Enterprise Applications and Data, the Database Services Manager will have the primary responsibility for managing, supporting and developing a robust, secure and resilient database infrastructure that underpins the delivery of enterprise applications. This includes supporting Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL database technologies both on-premise and in the cloud. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring all database services adhere to security best practice and meet business and data governance controls. As a member of the division¿s management team will manage other staff and resources as necessary and provide leadership to the section to ensure the effective and efficient operation of its services.
The post holder will work with significant autonomy and responsibility for devolved functions including identifying emerging technologies and service enhancements.
