We are JSS Homecare Ltd, trading as Nurses Group Homecare based in Yeovil and we provide a range of care and support services for adults who require some support at home. We are a small friendly and passionate management team and we pride ourselves on the quality of the service we provide, our reliability and our genuine caring approach. We’re seeking to recruit some great new care assistants; people with the right values and attitude to work in our Homecare service – could this be you?

Our main priority for this job role is to find people with the right attitude and behaviour to match our own! You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications to get started – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent care worker.

Duties and responsibilities

The duties are varied, and no two days will be the same. Our residents are individuals, and they all deserve to be treated as such. Duties may include supporting personal care needs, as well as helping them to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and well-being such as arts and crafts, watching football, drama, musical evenings, gardening, shopping trips, and social occasions.

A Care Assistant’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

· Ensure that service users are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences are taken into consideration to enhance their wellbeing

· To contribute to the efficient running of the service

· Support service users to maintain their relationships and connections with the local community

· Ensure care plans and other information about how to support service users are followed

· Be responsible for informing the office of any changes in the needs of service users

· Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support

· Building rapport with others including patients, their families, colleagues and staff within the healthcare facilities

· Be a role model for other carers and be an ambassador for the service

· Adhere to the policies, procedures, and fundamental standards of the organisation.

· Update daily records for service users to ensure consistent, continuous care.

  • Be eligible to work in the UK
