Role Specifics

Working on a 5-star Holiday Home & Lodge Park, you will be responsible for ensuring our guests receive added value to their stay by providing a range of adventurous activities to a 5-star standard, creating additional revenue streams for the company. The successful candidate will have a great personality, being able to relate to the team and customers alike, building a professional, but friendly environment for all to enjoy. The role will involve working weekends and your responsibilities will include:

  • To create additional revenue streams for the company, at the same time enhancing the guests holiday experience
  • Creating and promoting a weekly activity programme on the park to include all age groups. i.e. archery, boules, crafting, bushcraft, competitions, guided walks, biodiversity tours, quiz night, treasure hunts etc.
  • To provide and deliver a range of adventure activities, for families and park guests, both on and off park
  • Providing appropriate interaction with the customers, of all ages
  • Keeping the activity area and equipment maintained to a high standard and fit for purpose at alltimes to ensure no distruption to delivery, including maintaining stock levels and order whenneeded, following our Purchasing Policy
  • Co-ordinating and delivering with external providers to enable additional activities are offered,i.e. guided hill walks, canoeing etc.
  • Developing and delivering regular themed events throughout the year in conjunction with thepark managers
  • Communicating activities to all guests in an appropriate timely manner, maintaining excellentknowledge of what is available on the park and the surrounding area, with a proactive attitude inpromoting the park and its offerings
  • Dealing with any customer issues or complaints in a professional, caring and understandingmanner, using initiative to resolve situations at the time and exceed satisfaction levels
  • To support other customer facing departments, as required, including reception,accommodation and F & B
  • Liaise with management on a regular basis, keeping them informed of the activity area needsand devlopement
  • Attend regular training to continue performance development
  • Ensuring all administration relating to the activity area is managed and organised well
  • Ensure hand over of duties is communicated effectively to colleagues, to ensure continuity withdelivery
  • Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed
  • To comply and work within the Company’s Health & Safety Policies
  • To complete any other duties requested of you by the management team

Essential Requirements

  • Excellent communication, customer service and organisational skills
  • Self-motivated and commitment to delivering excellent service
  • A confident and enthusiastic individual, who is able to motivate people, both staff team andencourage guests participation
  • A friendly and approachable personality
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritise work load
  • Works well as part of a team, but also able to work independently
  • Excellent observation skills and attention to detail
  • 5-star personal presentation
  • A full UK driving licence is essential due to the location of the park

Desirable Requirements

  • A current DBS Check with the update service, but if not this will be gained during the recruitment process
  • Experience of delivering outdoor education and/or adventurous activities

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 24 per week

Salary: £11.00 per hour
