The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all children attending the club have a safe, fun, and enriching experience, while also providing excellent customer service to parents and guardians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the holiday club, including planning and scheduling activities, managing staff, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all children attending.
- Develop and implement a fun and engaging program of activities that meets the needs and interests of children of all ages and abilities.
- Ensure that all staff members are trained, supervised, and supported to provide high-quality care and programming for children.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, activities, and incidents, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's participation in the club.
- Manage the financial aspects of the club, including collecting payments.
- Ensure that all facilities and equipment are maintained in a safe and clean condition, and that all health and safety regulations are followed.
- Ensure safeguarding requirements are adhered to, and that the club has a culture of promoting a safe environments for children.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for children, staff, and parents, and actively promote the club within the local community.
Pre-requisites:
- Previous experience working in a supervisory role in a holiday club, day camp, or other child care setting.
- A degree or diploma in early childhood education, recreation, sports, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- A passion for working with children and creating fun and engaging programming.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in child care.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and evenings, as required.
