Job Summary

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Histology Technician, to join our Translational Pathology Group in Cambridge, Chesterford Research Park on a full-time, permanent basis. Translational Pathology Laboratories support biomarker identification and analysis for multiple drug projects from very early stage through to Phase I and II clinical trials.

You will be responsible for variety of concurrent activities including sample management and laboratory support.

What we’re looking for?

• Education: A scientific degree in bioscience/life sciences discipline or equivalent experience
• Experience: Histopathology, tissue sectioning, digital slide scanning, sample managing and tracking including using electronic sample management system
• Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred

How you will thrive and create an impact?

• Executing routine pre-clinical and clinical tissue histological sectioning (including frozen tissue) to a routinely high quality and fast turnaround
• Supporting digitisation strategy by coordinating and executing microscopic slide scanning using established platforms
• Executing tinctorial histological staining either manually or on automated systems
• Precising labelling of samples and accurate recording of data
