About the Team
The Highways Asset Management service within City of York Council is excited to be recruiting key roles to add to a well-established and dynamic team.
The team is focussed on maintenance, renewal and improvement of highway infrastructure assets as well as the city’s ancient monuments.
With a capital renewal programme in excess of £10M pa, we are seeking enthusiastic people who are looking to consolidate and / or develop their careers in this fantastic city and environment.

About the Role
The Highways Site Agent (Construction) will be part of the Highways Capital Schemes Delivery, and Basic Maintenance Teams.
The team is focussed on highway maintenance, re-construction, and improvement of highway infrastructure assets like roads, footways, cycleways and larger schemes like roundabouts or traffic signal schemes.
With a capital renewal programme in excess of £10M pa, we are seeking an enthusiastic person who are looking to consolidate and / or develop their career in this important role.
This role is varied and is a career with continued professional development. Training will be given or supported where required, and City of York actively promotes staff development both on a professional, social, and personal level.

Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
