Flegg Projects are currently recruiting HGV 1 Driver/machine handlers. The role will not only involve driving highly spec'd vehicles, but will also keep you engaged offloading and positioning machinery across a high variety of sites.
£39 140 basic salary (increases to £41k+ once experienced in machine handling) with great weekend overtime opportunities | Allocated vehicle | £60 night out allowance | £15-25 weekly fuel allowance | work uniform & company phone | all training provided

We are looking for hardworking, self-motivated and enthusiastic people to join our expanding team and are currently welcoming applications for HGV1 drivers
You can expect:
- All relevant training to the role, including forklift, slinger signaller, etc.
- Allocation of a bespoke articulated vehicle, purpose-built for machinery relocations and handling of large equipment
- Hands-on work, in addition to driving, operating our vast array of bespoke equipment on various sites
- Handling of anything from low value 100 kg machines to those costing multi-millions that weigh 100 ton+
- Highly varied, rapidly changing work and schedules
- Weekend overtime opportunities to increase your income by around 15-30%.
We need you to:
- Be physically capable
- Be comfortable with a fluid schedule
- Have a digital tachograph
- Have up to date CPC training
- Fluent in English
- Good team player
We would prefer (but not essential):
- Previous experience in machinery or plant transport
- Current counterbalance forklift license
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £39,140/year to increase after approximately 2-3 years on the job- once experienced with moving machinery.
