RSK Response is a dedicated contamination, spill response and remediation business, with broad coverage across the UK and Ireland, we are well suited to provide support to a wide range of challenges, including emergency oil spill response, hazardous waste management and flood response.

We are currently looking for a HGV Driver/Operative to join the team in Uckfield, UK. In this role the successful candidate will have the following:

Responsibilities:

• Combination of HGV operation and management and Labour support to environmental incident projects as necessary.
• Vehicle checks and inspection
• Adhering to waste collection, duty of care and consignment process.
• Development and adherence to specific and point of work health & safety risk assessments
• Rapid response to environmental incidents in a variety of urban and rural settings
• Additional tasks that may be reasonably expected within your level of capability without additional remuneration.

Qualifications:

• A strong focus on safety
• Full clean HGV class 2 driving licence (7.5 to 18 tonne)
• Up to date CPC and digital drivers’ card
• Minimum 1 year experience is preferred
• Punctual, reliable, and honest
• Excellent communication skills with co-workers, public and clients
• Ability to work independently
• Happy to work across the UK from time to time to suit business needs
• Flexible to work out hours and weekends
• CPCS Excavator Licence is desirable but not essential

Salary and benefits:

• £29,500 plus regular overtime
