Job description
Contract Furniture Manufacturing is a specialist furniture manufacturer for the Care Home sector. Our goal is to help our clients create high quality interiors. Based across two manufacturing sites in Pontefract we design and manufacture an extensive range of cabinet and upholstered furniture.

Due to our continued growth, we require an HGV Class 2 Driver to join us on a permanent basis delivering furniture to Care Homes across the UK as well as moving stock between our 2 sites in Pontefract and warehouse in Castleford. We would require you to help load and unload vehicles so you must be physically fit.
Standard working hours are Monday – Friday, between the hours of 6am - 6pm

Key Duties:
· Drive Company HGV vehicles and operate company equipment in a safe and professional manner in accordance with company policies, procedures & legislation
· Provide a professional HGV driving service to meet & exceed customer expectations
· Carry out HGV vehicle equipment checks (reporting defects) prior to the operation of any vehicle
· Report any delivery issues in a timely manner
· Responsible for the Health & Safety of themselves and others, adhering to safe working practices and the Health & Safety at Work Act, including accident, incident, and damage reporting
· Single drop deliveries
You will be required to use Tail Lift and help load/ unload furniture and place onsite so must be physically fit
Successful applicants will need:
· A valid Class 2 Driving Licence, CPC Card and Digi Card
· For insurance purposes, you must have no more than 6 points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements
· Excellent knowledge of the UK road network
