Drivers – Class 2 HGV Multi-Drop

£33,500 OTE + excellent benefits

£14.22 per hour

Durham

Join the global foodservice leaders and deliver fresh food to some of the best-known hotels, restaurants and pubs on the high street. As a Class 2 HGV Multi-Drop Driver, this is your chance to join a growing organisation that rewards and invests in its people. From great benefits and flexible hours, to driving deliveries that are packed and ready to go, our drivers have it all – including the job security of a business that’s been established more than 50 years.

We’re big on support and making life as easy as possible for our Class 2 HGV Drivers here at Brakes. As a 24/7 delivery operation based in Durham, that includes:

  • Warehouse teams who’ll have your delivery ready and handle loading for you.
  • Flexibly working around you where possible – and as chefs often prefer us to deliver early in the day, there’s plenty of opportunity to be out and about when the roads are much quieter.
  • Variety that includes 12-18 drops per shift, and smaller items as well as pallets.

Our HGV drivers work a 45 hour week, with the shift patterns being Monday to Friday and 1 in every 4 Saturdays. To join us here in Durham as an HGV driver, you’ll need a Class 2 Driving Licence with no more than six points on it, valid CPC card, and digital tachograph.

In return, we offer highly competitive and realistic on-target earnings of £33,500. You’ll also enjoy benefits that include an optional pension scheme, wide-ranging discounts from our customers, free fruit, subsidised vending machines and importantly, a focus on employee wellbeing. Explore more and apply now.

At Brakes everyone is welcome. We don’t want you to ‘fit our culture’ we want you to help define it and we actively celebrate the unique talents of each and every colleague. We don’t just look at your CV, we’re more focused on who you are and your potential. As part of our values, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive culture where everyone has a voice, is appreciated and has the same opportunities. We work hard to ensure that everyone feels part of our business, as we care for one another and connect the world through food and trusted partnerships. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that everyone belongs and thrives at Brakes and we recognise that Brakes can only thrive when everyone feels they belong. We'll do everything we can to support you during your application. If you need us to make any adjustments to our recruitment process, speak to our resourcing team who will be happy to support you.
