Since its opening in 2009, Yorkshire Wildlife Park has evolved to become the UK’s number 1 on-foot safari. We feature walkthrough exhibits that take the guest directly into the world of the animals. A dynamic centre for conservation and welfare, the park currently has around 475 animals across more than 60 different species. Unique, innovative and undergoing a period of continued growth and development, Yorkshire Wildlife Park attracts over 750,000 visitors per annum.
The Yorkshire Hive, situated adjacent to the entrance of Yorkshire Wildlife Park, is our brand new free-admission shopping, dining and entertainment destination. One of the key features of The Yorkshire Hive is the Hex Hotel. Opened in spring 2022, the hotel currently has 74 rooms, with further capacity due to open soon.
We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic Hex Hotel Receptionist to join our dynamic team at the Hex Hotel. The successful candidates will work as part of the team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greet all guests on arrival with a warm welcome.
- Undertake all front desk operations.
- Ensure all guest bills are accurate and settled in full.
- Proactively upsell room types and experiences according to the guest’s needs.
- Ensure that the reception area consistently remains clean and tidy.
- Promptly report any maintenance, health and safety or cleanliness issues to the appropriate individual.
Candidate:
- Flexible with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
- Great communication & telephone skills.
- Ability to understand and anticipate guest needs.
- Able to remain calm under pressure in a busy environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary: £8.80-£10.60 per hour
