Job description
GovTact is seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized employee to join our team as a help desk technician. In this position, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support for computer systems, hardware, and software issues. This is a first-shift position in Sterling, and flexibility for alternate shifts is always a plus.
Qualifications:
1. Must have a minimum DoD Secret Clearance
2. Familiar with current Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
3. Excellent team player while also able to work independently
4. Work through problem-solving independently and in a team environment
5. Professional with excellent communication skills
6. Excellent customer support service skills with high focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
7. Knowledge and understanding of IT hardware and network terminology and concepts
8. Knowledge of and skill in troubleshooting IT hardware and software issues
9. Curious and eager to learn
What You Get to Do:
1. Administer and maintain Window workstations, servers, and printers to include hardware and software installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
2. Provide technical assistance and support for incoming customer concerns and issues related to systems, software, and hardware
3. Respond to customer queries in person, by phone, or via remote support
4. Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to help desk requests
5. Maintain daily performance of computer systems
6. Diagnose and resolve problems
7. Work with vendor support related to hardware and software
Nice to Have:
1. ITIL Certification
2. CompTIA Security+ Certification
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $63,200.00 - $95,500.00 per year
