Location: Stratheden Hospital, Cupar or Queen Margaret/ Lynebank Hospitals, Dunfermline

Fife Health and Social Care Partnership are seeking to recruit 10 Healthcare Support Workers to a newly formed Nurse Pool. You will be based in either Stratheden Hospital, Cupar in east Fife or Queen Margaret/ Lynebank Hospitals in Dunfermline.
Posts will be available across 3 sites in a range of Mental Health & Learning Disability Services provided by NHS Fife including Adult Mental Health, Older Peoples Mental Health, Dementia Care, Adult Mental Health Rehabilitation and Learning Disabilities Services
This is a unique opportunity to be a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, adopting a pro-active, therapeutic person-centred approach to care delivery. You will work alongside registered nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, social workers, volunteers and other members of the multidisciplinary team to deliver care to a patient group who experience a range of problems which may impact on their mental wellbeing, safety and day to day functioning. You will be expected to contribute to the assessments and delivery of care in a person-centered manner following guided evidence-based practice. You will be expected to work autonomously at times following direction and as part of a team.
Fife Mental Health & Learning Disability Services are committed to individual development through the provision of protected CPD time and opportunities for professional and personal development, reviewed through the TURAS system. A full training, induction and person development programme will be given.
Employment contracts:
Various hours will be considered. Contracts are fixed term for 21 months.
Working patterns:
We are open to discussion on flexible working hours across the 24/7 period including weekends, evenings, nights and public holidays (financial enhancements will be paid for weekend and night shift working).
Work location:
Depending on your location, positions will be available in Stratheden Hospital base in Cupar, Lynebank and Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline.
If successful in your application, you will be offered the opportunity to undertake an SVQ2 or SVQ3 (dependent on band) in Health and Social Care, approximately 9 months after taking up post. It is expected that you complete this qualification, which will be fully funded by NHS Fife. Your Line Manager will provide you with more information once you are in post.
