Essential
· Qualified to Level 5 or a Registered Practitioner
· Hold an Apprenticeship Assessor qualification (Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement or equivalent)
· Qualification in PTTLS (Preparing to Teach in Lifelong Learning Sector) or RQF (Regulated Qualifications Framework) Level 3 Award in Education and Training or relevant teaching qualifications.
· Previous experience in an NHS or Social Care setting, or equivalent experience
· The necessary experience, skills and personal qualities to develop outstanding relationships with both internal and external clients
· Have extensive understanding and experience in health and social care
· Be able to develop resources, learning materials and documents to assist with the delivery of the programme
· Be flexible, self-motivated and approachable with a ‘can do’ attitude
· Have the necessary skillset and experience to plan and deliver outstanding training programmes that are interesting, interactive and engaging
· Have effective organisational skills and be able to plan own workload
· Have excellent IT skills in a range of software, be confident in using virtual meeting/training platforms such as Microsoft Teams
· Have strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, both written and verbal
· Have the necessary skills to observe students/apprentices in their workplace, providing support and guidance to enable them to gain their desired Health and Care qualifications
· Have the experience to know when and how to make interventions to ensure learner progress is successful and sustainable
· High ethical and professional standards with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external clients
· Have an ability and enthusiasm to identify commercial opportunities to maximise income within the organisation

Roles and Responsibilities
· Participate in the planning and delivery of a range of programmes within the subject area to include short courses, full qualifications and apprenticeships
· Recruit, enrol and carry out initial assessments of learners
· Develop learning plans in line with the apprenticeship standards
· Deliver consistently good training and assessment within the curriculum through an effective variety of teaching and learning activities.

· Utilise existing materials and develop new materials to support the delivery of the apprenticeship
· Develop individual learning plans with each learner
· Provide one-to-one sessions to learners to respond to their learning needs and to supervise and direct their work-based learning
· Carry out practical assessments, providing the relevant paperwork and record-keeping in compliance with the awarding body requirements
· Manage own case load of learners, continuously assessing and marking learners’ work, monitoring and tracking their progress, recording progress including any issues and challenges – ensuring these records are readily available in the organisations file management system with adequate safeguards to ensure compliance with data protection policy, liaise with the apprenticeship lead
· Manage own diary efficiently to accommodate virtual and/or face to face sessions, possible face to face visits and ensure regular contact with learners and stakeholders
· Provide support to learners through a variety of platforms to include telephone, email, Microsoft Teams, and online learning platforms to include APTEM
· Work within the standards set out by Awarding Bodies or other accrediting agencies, including verification and moderation systems, whether set internally or externally
· Provide regular reports reflecting learner progress to key stakeholders and employers
· Provide pastoral support to learners where needed to ensure learners remain on track to complete timely
· Coordinate all elements of apprenticeship frameworks to achieve timely success
· Ensure high standards of Health & Safety at all times in accordance with regulations and Community Matters policy, notifying the line manager or the named responsible manager for health and safety of any risks or issues
· Comply with agreed student retention, attendance and success measures in line with key performance expectations
· Undertake administrative duties related to the curriculum and individual students and assessors to enable outstanding outcomes for all students
· Be able to travel where necessary
· Be prepared to work evenings when necessary
