What does an Advanced Social Work Practitioner do at Hillingdon?
We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Social Work Practitioner to join our Adult Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).
In this role you will facilitate initial safeguarding enquiries and protection planning for Hillingdon’s residents who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing abuse or neglect. The post holder will also carry a small caseload of complex safeguarding enquiries under Section 42 of the Care Act 2014, both as Enquiry Officer and Safeguarding Adults Manager.
Outline of Duties:
- To act as Duty manager –managing daily intake of safeguarding referrals and to triage cases alongside key safeguarding partners.
- Chairing daily safeguarding high risk meetings with a range of partners and being able to deliver results.
- Supporting team members with informal and formal supervision, allocating cases
- Supporting the Team Manager with any other additional duties as and when required.
About you
The successful candidate will be a qualified Social Worker who is committed to providing quality services that promote independence/wellbeing, control, choice and social inclusion. You will demonstrate a person centred approach by keeping the service user at the centre of the safeguarding process.
