Main Duties and Responsibilities (according to training and qualifications) Phlebotomy Blood Pressure Checks ECG recording B12 injections Flu injections Dressings Removal of Sutures Other Duties and Responsibilities Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/Nurses ensuring that all samples for pathology are accurately labelled and ready for collection. Ordering, re-stocking, cleansing and maintenance of surgical equipment Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms Ensure infection control guidelines are maintained Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being Undertaking specific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual Assisting nurses with any regular and ad hoc clinics as required including flu clinics Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted Assisting with the collection and recording of data on needs related to health and well-being and ensure that these are documented correctly. To ensure that all consultations are recorded timely and accurately on the Practice clinical system according to Practice protocols To perform other clinical tasks as trained From time to time perform other tasks, within the skills of the post holder, as may be required by the Practice.
