East Sussex Healthcare Trust has exciting opportunities for Healthcare Assistants on our Frailty Unit in Eastbourne District General Hospital, and we are looking for highly motivated, dynamic and passionate individuals.

Caring for short stay frailty patients ensures a varied role where staff can learn specialty care for those who may have multiple medical conditions, are on multiple medications and are often require specialist support at home or in their care homes. Staff will also support patients who are acutely unwell, may also have poor recognition (dementia & delirium), difficulty in walking, falls and frailty.

We are looking for experienced Health Care Assistants; hospital experience is desirable but not essential. A minimum of NVQ2 two in health and social care or the equivalent.

Successful applicants will be required to complete a two day Induction course, which will include all the Trust statutory/Mandatory training to join our team inviting them to share their knowledge and experience with the ward; you will need to be well motivated and committed to high standards of patient care and personal professional development.
