Support the Registered Nursing staff in providing assistance and personal care for patients within University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire Trust across both sites at University Hospital Coventry & Hospital of St Cross, Rugby.

You must be aged 16 or over and have previous Healthcare Assistant experience: HCA-Band 2-£20,270-£21, 318 + enhancements
Be a Resident in the UK/ EEA for the last three years
Must NOT be in any form of formal government-funded education.
As a band 2 HCA you must have previous experience of working within a care environment and already hold a level 2 health and social care related qualification or be willing to work towards this qualification.
Full and Part Time Posts available. The salary will be pro rata for part time staff.

- Acute Medicine Village - The co-located Acute Medicine Footprint is part of the Emergency Medicine group and consists of the Medical Assessment Unit, Same Day Emergency Care, Frailty Unit and our Short Stay Ward. We are a front door service care for a large variety of patients and conditions. Our aim is to ensure patients get the right treatment, in the right place at the right time. We have a skilled workforce with a large skillset- as a HCA working in our footprint you can expect to gain skills such as: ECG, Venepuncture, Cannulation, Blood Glucose. All of our HCA’s are encouraged to take on Link Role a become a mini expert for their chosen topic and support with educating their colleagues. We have the benefits of an exclusive Practice Development team who will be on hand to support you and enhance your skillset and knowledge.

This Recruitment Centre is intended to show you what it’s really like to be a healthcare assistant, and to provide you with the opportunity to demonstrate how you would provide excellent quality care to our patients and their families within a modern health care facility.
The Recruitment centre will involve a basic literacy test and if you are successful you will go forward to an interview. If you are successful at interview, and there isn’t a current vacancy that meets your needs, we’ll keep in touch and update you as jobs arise.
