Healthcare Assistant - Radiology
Location – The Harley Street Clinic, 35 Weymouth Street, London, NW1 8BJ
Salary - £24,000 - £29,000 DOE
Hours - Full Time/Permanent. Mon-Fri with shift patterns including 9-5, 10-6 and 12-8.

As a Healthcare Assistant in the Radiology Department you will assist with day to day roles; supporting procedures, meeting and greeting patients, completing necessary documentation and help maintain the smooth running of the department.
Duties & Responsibilities
Organize Ultrasound workload including charging patients, chaperoning patients when required and dealing with all necessary paperwork.
To assist the radiographers in preparing patients for all imaging procedures as necessary.
To assist with moving patients within the department as necessary.
To assist with setting up for procedures as required.
To assist in maintaining the tidiness and cleanliness of the department.
To help with the maintenance of stock levels in all rooms e.g. linen etc and consumables etc.
To collect and escort in-patients to and from the department.
Organize refreshments for patients when required.
To assist the Radiographers and other staff in the department as required.
To rotate between departments/ areas/modalities as required.
Respond appropriately to accidents or untoward incidents/occurrences that arise within the unit and provide accurate documentation.
To be conversant with all local policies and procedures and to act accordingly.
Ensure the safety of patients and staff and ensure that all incidents are reported to the Manager.
Ensure that all equipment is used safely and effectively. Experience of working with members of the public is essential.
Skills and experience
Acute Hospital Healthcare experience essential
Radiology Department experience is preferred
NVQ3 in Health Care is desirable
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Exceptional communication and organisation skills.
Ability to be flexible with working patterns
Competent IT user
