Job description
The post holder will undertake a wide variety of clerical duties, supporting the function of the Infection Prevention and Control/TB (Tuberculosis) Service, covering a 7 day period working flexibly to provide administrative support to the wider Clinical Standards & Governance directorate teams.
- To undertake monitoring of the cleanliness and quality of the trust environment using the trust approved audit tool under the supervision of the Lead Senior IP&C team members
- To be the primary user for the trust approved auditing software
- To carry out weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual audits of all clinical and non-clinical areas as required by the trust.
- To import the audit data into the trust approved software to enable timely production of audit reports to ensure ward dashboards are accurate and up to date.
- To contribute to meetings relating to the auditing process.
- Present a professional image of the trust to patients, visitors and staff in particular by protecting the confidentiality of information.
- To ensure that compliance scores are reported to the senior IP&C team to allow prompt dissemination across the trust.
- To add areas to the audit software as and when required e.g. when a new build has been commissioned or changes in use identified following agreement with Senior IP&C team.
- Support the wider IP&C team activities as required under direct supervision.
- To ensure all room data information is correct and up to date.
- Undertake ad-hoc audits as instructed by senior member of the IP&C team with ward matrons. DSFS staff as required
