Job description

The Knolls Care Centre is looking for energetic persons that would either like to start a career in health and social care, or would like to apply their knowledge as a care assistant on days for 36 hours or 48 hours per week. The position is a full time role working alternative weekends. The length of the shift is 12 hours, starting at 08:00am and finishing at 20:00.

Please note that the company does not offer COS or have an apprenticeship program!

It is equally important to remember that teamwork, dignity and respect are qualities required for the job.

Responsibilities/duties for the healthcare assistant:

  • Attend to Resident's individual and personal care needs in accordance with individual care plans to ensure safety and care of Residents and to promote independence
  • To act as a key worker for designated residents
  • Responding promptly to call bells and emergency calls
  • To report any accidents or unexplained injuries immediately to person in charge
  • To ensure that any aids e.g. Dentures, Hearing Aids, Spectacles, etc are fitted, cleaned and in working order
  • Complete all charts / documentation, and maintain records, as required
  • To be aware of all fire exit means of escape from the Home
  • To adhere to the policy relating to personal appearance and the uniform policy while on duty
  • To report to the Person in Charge any changes in individual residents condition and any other relevant matter
  • To report to the Person in Charge any verbal concerns or complaints raised by the resident or visitors
  • To respect the rights of residents including privacy, dignity and confidentiality
  • To assist in the serving and clearing of meals, snacks, and drinks
  • To undertake any training necessary for the completion of your duties. To be aware of Mandatory training and dates to attend training

Qualifications and Skills:
