Job description
We are looking for experienced Care Assistants to start as soon as possible to assist the existing team in a lovely supported living unit based in Long Eaton.
You will be looking after the every day needs of service users with learning disabilities and complex care needs, promoting independence and helping them to learn valuable life skills.
Your main duties in this role will include:
– Keeping residents company as they go about their daily routines, ensuring that they can live as independently as possible
– Following individual care plans
– Assisting with personal care
– Undertaking household tasks and any necessary paperwork, ensuring that it is completed to the highest standard
– Helping staff to run fun activities for residents to enjoy, which can promote life skills

Key Information
Experience & Qualifications
To be suitable for this position you must have:
– An Enhanced DBS registered on the update service
– Up to date Infection Control, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Moving & Handling training
– References from your most recent employer and a 2nd care employer covering 2 years in total.
– Proof of fully vaccinated status against Covid-19
If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, do not worry as we can help you with this. We are happy to offer online training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep!
