We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at Derby Urgent Treatment Centre. Part time can also be considered
The successful candidate will work as part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to support the smooth running of the urgent treatment service, aiding the clinical team and providing advice and care to patients whilst developing new skills.
The post holder will use their clinical assessment skills to provide a high standard of care in a safe environment that meets the patients needs, whilst maintaining privacy and dignity.
What is expected from the successful candidate:
- NVQ level 1 Healthcare qualification
- Experience across all age ranges (desirable)
- Sepsis awareness (desirable)
- Acute sector experience (desirable)
- Acute and or chronic wound care experience (desirable)

Treating undifferentiated and undiagnosed minor illness and injury presentations, in an excellent central Derby location, our modern and purpose built centre is a stone’s throw from London Road Community Hospital’s canteen facilities and just a few minutes’ drive from intu shopping centre.
There is great bus access, free parking nearby and the train station is just a 5 minute walk away. We offer walk in, digital, and NHS111 booked appointments.
