This is a really varied and wide-ranging role – it has everything from supporting nurses, midwives and the wider clinic teams in the coordination of treatments to patients while making sure they can have the best possible experience they can receive.
You’ll talk to patients and support them throughout their treatment journey, provide them with information, resolving any queries or problems. You’ll provide emotional support to them using empathy and understanding, and if you need to, signpost them to our counselling support services.
You’ll support patients’ consultations with general healthcare duties such as taking their height, weight and blood pressure. Also support the nursing team with preparing the Procedure Room, assisting with procedures, taking post-operation observations and also chaperoning the Consultants for procedures such as ultrasound scans
You’ll have exposure to a truly diverse range of patients; they travel across the country to be here for treatments. You’re not just supporting local patients; they’ll be international too.
About you:
You’re a Healthcare Assistant in a hospital setting or fertility clinic, with an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care. You’re also a team player with a desire for continuous personal and professional development.
Excellent communication is required as you’ll be dealing with people from all backgrounds, making In and outbound calls where needed, delivering a high-quality patient experience – you’re acting as a Zita West Fertility Clinic ambassador in all of your interactions.
Location/Benefits:
Based at the Zita West clinic (37 Manchester St, London W1U 7LJ), working 09:00-17:00 Monday- Friday.
