Would you like to progress your career by working with children who require complex clinical care?
Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to support a young boy in Wakefield with his complex care needs.
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one-to-one support, and can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.
Our service user is a toddler who lives in a lively home, with his loving family and friendly pets.
We are recruiting a new care team to support him throughout the night on a part-time basis.
During the night you will be responsible for assisting with his clinical needs, regular repositioning, reassurance and settling back to sleep if needed.
He enjoys stimulating activities including playing with sensory toys and objects such as tin foil. Watching television is another interest of his, Teletubbies and Bing are his favourite tv shows!
As part of his dedicated care team, you will need to be able to anticipate and understand his wants and needs. You must be reliable and able to commit to the shifts.
Previous experience working with children within a complex care setting is desirable, but not essential as we will offer complex care training to support your transition into your new role.
Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.
Essential Experience Required
- 3 months of previous care experience
- Medication Administration
- Personal Care
- Moving and Handling
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience supporting children within a complex care setting
- Gastrostomy Care (Peg feeding)
- Tracheostomy care
- Ventilation Management
We have the following shifts available;
- Part Time - 20-30 hours per week
- Days- 8am-12.30pm
- Nights- 10pm-8am
You must have flexibility to cover both shifts

Weekdays £12.00 per hour Approx. £54 per 4.5 hour shift
Weeknights £12.25 per hour Approx. £122.50 per 10 hour shift
Weekends £13.00 per hour Approx. £130 per 10 hour shift
Bank Holidays £15.50 per hour Approx. £155 per 10 hour shift
