About The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Taunton Diagnostic Centre for a Healthcare Assistant to join the team.
Our Healthcare Assistants provide a pivotal role in supporting our Radiographers. Working directly with patients in the clinical environment, this is an excellent opportunity for individuals with an interest in healthcare.
You will be required to undertake IV cannulation, for which training can be given, immunisation against Hepatitis B will be required for this role. Should you not already have been immunised, we can support with arranging this.
As well as patient support, there will be some administrative tasks as part of our patient management processes.
Other role responsibilities include:
- Assisting in patient preparation
- Chaperoning
- Positioning of MRI patients on the scanner and MRI coil changes
- Positioning of CT patients on the scanner
- Processing of patients via our E-Systems
To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate good communication and administration skills, alongside a compassionate and enthusiastic demeanour.
A flexible, organised and enthusiastic attitude is essential. Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred but not necessary as full training will be provided.
Please note that this role requires the successful post holder to work a variety of shifts flexible across Monday-Sunday.
