We’re seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Advisor to join our established team in our Derby branch. Working proactively to promote a positive safety culture, you will work in partnership with others to deliver continuous improvement and a safe working environment, maintaining our high stds at all times. This role is flexibly located, with a mixture of field and office or remote work which is ideal for a self-motivated individual capable of working independently.
Some overtime or out of hours work may apply depending on business activity and is subject to excellent rates of pay. Travel between our build locations daily and FullFibre offers a suitable vehicle & fuel card to cover this.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that appropriate HSEQ systems and procedures that are in place comply with project contractual requirements and are enforced through the business and supply chain
- Complete audits and assessments,
- provide reporting to ensure compliance with legislation, internal policies, and procedures
- Provide advice and support for H&S supporting roles (auditors, fire marshals, first-aiders) and be a central point of contact for FF projects in all HSEQ related matters
- Manage relationships and providing an effective link between FF Business, our supply chain and internal and external stakeholders
- Assist and support projects to improve HSEQ performance
- Attend incidents/accidents/near misses and provide suitable responses from Root-Cause Analysis to improve HS performance
- Conduct field Audits and Reports which are a key activity for this role
- Champion continuous improvements to safety performance throughout the business
Skills/Qualifications/Experience
- Appropriate Health and Safety qualification - NEBOSH general preferred
- Previous experience of working in Health and Safety preferably in the Telecoms FTTP sector with Civil, NRSWA supervision – 2 years minimum experience
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Sharepoint, excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong knowledge base and demonstrable experience working under pressure in a fast-paced role
- Ability to prioritise and organise workloads to meet deadlines
