Job description
As a Health & Safety (H&S) advisor you will assist the UK Health and Safety Lead in providing advice and support to Capgemini senior management team, enabling them to meet their statutory and regulatory H&S duties.
You will be able to demonstrate leadership, the ability to persuade, negotiate and influence and must have an ability to derive realistic, practical, workable, and cost-effective solutions to improve safety management.
This role offers a great opportunity to engage with our clients, our client-based site teams, and suppliers to develop the standard of Health and Safety across our client accounts. Capgemini operate a flexible working policy and you'll be expected to work in our Capgemini offices and client sites from time to time.
Working with the Core Services H&S team for the delivery of Health and Safety to the Capgemini UK business- Working with our client accounts Capgemini site operational teams to implement a proactive strategy to H&S
- Developing and reporting on safety performance against KPIs and improvement planning
- Conducting Annual Fire Risk Assessments for Data Centre and Communication Rooms
- Scheduling and leading Senior Client and Capgemini Management Site Safety Tours
- Producing monthly H&S reports
- Attending account H&S meetings
- Reviewing Supplier Risk Assessments and Method Statement (RAMS)
- Promoting, at an account level, awareness of the arrangements for the management of H&S and the implementation thereof including safety training
Provide support on request to account teams to support client H&S requirements and bids
Full management of the H&S inbox
Manage/minute and attend monthly UK H&S forum
Provide DSE support to those that require additional assistance
Manage and record end to end process for account booking for H&S training
H&S Teams Area – maintain folder structure move/delete/archive/rename as required
H&S Document register – maintain control spreadsheet – review monthly to identify documents imminent for review/update
H&S Talent site – review monthly for major changes – contact Comms team to support text clarity and branding compliance
Excellent communication and IT skills- Ability to influence and persuade

Candidate Qualifications:
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management
- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
- Technical Member of the Institution of Occupational Health and Safety
